Tired of looking at the top 10 sexiest women? here comes the list that might woo the girls away. TOP 10 SEXIEST MEN IN THE WORLD. Long time waiting girls! the wait is over. This list is a recompilation keeping in mind the people’s magazine survey. Thus this is not a personal opinion but the people’s opinion. Selecting the top 10 sexiest men in the world might be bit difficult because there are too many! you too might be considering yourself to be one among them just kidding. Scientist feel that the sexiness of a person is likely to increase more along with his success. So don’t wonder if you see most successful people in the list. Here goes the top 10 sexiest men in the world alive!

10. Shemar Moore

On the tenth position of top 10 sexiest men list we have Shemar Moore. Born on 20th April 1970 in Oakland, Shemar graduated from Santa Clara University. Shemar started his acting career right from 1971 as a child actor! I wonder how many girls found him sexy that time . He was seen in the TV series “Soul Train”. After that he took a break only to appear again in 1994 in the TV serial “Circus of the Stars Goes to Disneyland”. And from then on he has appeared in many TV serials and has been recognized world wide. Shemar has totally won 8 awards and has been nominated 9 more times. Shemar made more during the 90’s than lately. But it seems girls still like him and he still sticks as one of the sexiest man in the world among the top 10 sexiest men.

9. Javier Barden

In the 10th place among the list of top 10 sexiest men, we have Javier Barden. Born on 1st March 1969 in Spain, Javier made it big as an actor. He has scored very big with the Spanish TV serials and Spanish movies. Everyone knows that Spanish gentlemen are generally treated sexy. Thus this guy is no special exception. As of now Javier Barden happen to have 3 films in pipeline. What gets me about this guy is the sheer number of awards he has won in his lifetime. In fact his winnings are more than his just nominations. Javier Barden has won 62 various awards for acting and has been nominated 27 times. Whether or not his films gather fame, he is sure to gather girls’ attention and hearts. That was the 9th guy among the top ten sexiest men in the world.

[ad]

8. Will Smith

Top 8th among the top 10 sexiest men in the world is no one other than the Legend! because he is legend. I’m sure I don’t have to explain as to why Will Smith must be among the sexiest. We all have seen how he saves the kitten when killer robot was at his back in iRobot! keeping that apart, born on 25th September 1968 in Philadelphia Will Smith happens to be multi talented chap. If you can just take the pain of looking at his profile in IMdB, you’d be astonished to find he has to do at least one thing with whatever there is to do with the movies and the TV serials. He has been the producer, the director, the actor, the musician and writer too! I bet no one can beat him in that for now!. With 2 Oscars won, he has also won 40 other awards. I’m just waiting for the 2nd I am legend! And who can forget the Bad boys sequels and Pursuit of Happyness? Way to go Smith! You just scored 8th position on the top 10 sexiest men in the world.

7. Dave Annable

Well on the 7th slot of top 10 sexiest men in the world, we have Dave Annable, born on 15th September 1979 in New York, and he had his childhood in Walden. Success of Dave is very recent. In fact he got well noticed from the show that aired in 2005 on FOX named Reunion. He actually started making it big in the year 2006 when he got the permanent role in the serial Brothers & Sisters aired on ABC channel. And for the people who hate college, Dave dropped out of college and finished his diploma from SUNY very very recently, on 15th may 2009. May be this is one more factor which adds to his sexiness. So guys the moral is very clear. Drop out of college and then later finish it after a long gap! you’re sure to be noticed. That was our 7th guy among the top 10 sexiest men in the world.

6. Johnny Depp

6th on the list of top 10 sexiest men list, we have Johnny Depp. I hope the list would change once the Public Enemies reaches every corner of the world. Born on 9th June 1963 in Owensboro, Johny Depp became know world wide from his character “Jack Sparrow” in the Pirates of the Carribean. It is a fact that all the films that have featured Johny have grossed more than 4 billion dollars worldwide. Johnny Depp has won 3 Oscars and has won other 34 awards and has been nominated for 48 awards. He also became popular because of the serial aired on Fox channel, “21 Jump street”. And I believe he became very sexier with the pirates of the Caribbean and he’ll also be seen in the upcoming “Alice in Wonderland”.

This will show you what the ad would look like to a user who is interested in "mortgages." -->

5. James McAvoy

Guess who just got sexier among the top 10 sexiest men in the world? Yeah! that’s right! Our “Wanted” guy. I didn’t know that dodging bullets would make one sexy! (I should start learning it). We’ve all seen James coupled with Angelina Jolie pulling off some cool action flicks in “wanted”. Born on 21st April 1979 in Scotland James got his first role in “The Near Room” in 1995 and went on to star in Regeneration. His drama serial Shameless won him comedy awards. He took off with his film The “Last King of Scotland”. And here is a quick info.. He was nominated for the best kiss award for the movie “wanted”. I’m sure he is really WANTED for so many hotties out there. That was our 5th among the top 10 sexiest men list.

4. Brad Pitt

To whom does the sexiest lady on earth go to? 4th among the top 10 sexiest men in the world? Hmm.. May be that is one reason why he has come down in the sexiest list. If Brad were alone, I believe he’d have been the top 1. But look at all those girls (and guys too) who still find him sexy!. Born on 18th December 1963 in Shawnee, Oklahoma, he was raised in Springfield. His early acting began in “Dallas” right from 1987 (gosh! I was just born in that year). He found himself recognized when he took the role of supporting actor in twelve monkeys. But his breakthrough came when people found him in Fight club and Ocean’s series. And try not to forget the Benjamin Button! It swept the 2009 Oscars!. Brad both acts and Produces and does Husbandry for Jolie too! Way to go Brad!. So that was the top 4th sexiest man among the top ten sexiest people.

3. Ryan Reynolds

Oh come on! who says you should have Oscars and Armani to be sexy! look at the 3rd boy among the top 10 sexiest men in the world, Ryan; he doesn’t have that long tailed career, but yet has climbed up to the 3rd spot. How? looks does matter!. Born on October 23, 1976, has been ever since noticed as one of the brilliant Canadian TV actor ( majorly “Two guys and a girl”). He was born in Vancouver. Ryan began his career in the movies in 1993 with the “Ordinary Magic”. Ryan has been better noticed by the comedy roles that he has played, although he acted in the horror movie “The Amityville horror”. And we definitely saw how sexy he looked in the X men origins! Too bad he recently got himself a partner. Ryan stands 3rd among the top 10 sexiest men in the world.!

2. Patrick Dempsey

Who is running behind just one position among the top ten sexiest men in the whole world?? answer is Patrick! Born on 1966 Jan 13 in Lewiston was raised in Buckfield. What many people know about him is the fact that he is a race driver. Now how sexy is that! who doesn’t find the people with leather sexy? Dempsey appeared first on Torch Song Triology, and since then his career has been going upwards. Patrick has also been a great icon on the TV shows. Proof? Go watch Grey’s Anatomy which airs even today on ABC channel. If you don’t know ABC pays him 225000$ for every episode that he does in Grey’s Anatomy. Now that’s something really worth looking and counting at (vice versa?). He has won 2 Golden Globe awards and 4 other awards and 9 nominations. So that was Patrick Dempsey on 2nd position among the top 10 sexiest men in the world who gets all our girls “Enchanted” .

1. Matt Damon

Now who gets to be the sexiest? The one who has bullet marks on his back and has forgotten his name? what? what was I writing? Yeah! Bourne Jason gets to be the sexiest man in the world! I’m sure I don’t have to explain you why he has to be the sexiest. Just grab Bourne series and cup it up with “The Departed” and the Oceans series, and what do you have? THE SEXIEST MAN IN THE WORLD! Born on 8th October 1970 in Boston, Jason has a long list of career successes to boast about. He got his break from the movie “Goodwill hunting”. The movie did sweep the box office and got Jason.. I mean Matt loads of awards and nominations. Then came his hit movies Fallen Angel and Stuck on You which too got him lot of credits. Matt has lots of movie coming this and the next year. All in all the conclusion is that the dark and amnesic characters are more prone to be sexy. I still wonder where did DeCaprio go? and what about Hugh Jackman? Anyways that was our top 1 sexiest man.

We thus conclude our list of top 10 sexiest men in the world.

Making the list of top 10 games for pc 2008 was quite easy as I too had been making this list for myself so I could bring them and start playing. The reason was quite simple, I got a mean gaming CPU last summer and was excited to put it to test with the best of the games out there. So I thought why not sort out the list of top 10 games for pc: year 2008? I thought of looking up to Gamespot for the same reason as the source for this. Based on the rankings given by the Gamespot I’ve managed to bring this list. And I accept the list mainly because I’ve personally played more than 6 games in the list, and trust me; they are ALL AWESOME. So lets get started with the top 10 games for pc (2008).

10. Far Cry 2

Released on October 21, 2008, this game is a sequel to Far Cry 1. The first one had a lot of greenery and un countable mutants, but this time its a different story line and an entirely different arena to play in. The game is set in the deserts of Africa. You happen to have Malaria and are on a mission to capture a Notorious Drug dealer for which you’ll have to contact and earn reputation from many middle men. What sets Far Cry 2 apart from 1st part is its game play, there are hundreds of ways in which you can play a mission and tons of guns to play with. A cool feature is you can set the plants and grass on fire using a flame thrower and let the wind spread it and kill your target. You can even pull the bullets out of your arm and snap the bone. The assassination can be done during the nights to avoid attention and 24 hours day/night cycle is totally brilliant. Far Cry 2 scores really well in the case of graphics and game play and addiction. But it lets you down in the story line. What the heck! why do you need a story line to go bang the bad guy with a rocket launcher? Just get the gears and start pulling the trigger, the game is worth playing, and hence stands 10th among the top 10 games for pc in 2008.

9. Call of Duty: World at War

If you have spent your childhood playing arcade games like Contra, and if you have liked even 10% of earlier Call of Duty, I’m sure you’re gonna fall in love with this game. Gamespot gives COD world at war a staggering 8.5 ranking for all platforms. The game is just awesome. You begin as a soldier of Russian army and other armies one at a time unarmed and surrounded by enemies. You get saved by other soldiers and are given a weapon to enter into the battle. The game is fully mature and the guns and tanks are sure to sweep you off your feet. There are endless explosions and flash bombs which are made very very beautifully. The multiplayer in COD world at war still retains the gameplay from the COD modern warfare, so the ones who are used to the multiplayer gaming of COD modern warfare, then there would be lot more fun for them in COD world at war. COD world at war is the picturization of World war 2, and thus you’ll get weapons like Bayonet and Flamethrower with which you can burn down the Nazis . The game runs very smooth in any gaming rig and is sure to kill your precious time, so get addicted wisely. That was our 9th game among the top 10 pc games of 2008.

8. Left 4 Dead

Now for the people who wake up, brush, eat and sleep with Counter Strike, there is a game made with the same engine. Yeah! Left 4 Dead was made with the Counter Strike Engine and you can imagine that the game play has to be equivalent to it. What’s game all about? Zombies, zombies and loads of them. You’d be thrilled by the opening cinematic, cos that in itself can be turned into a great movie! You can play any character among the 4 given to you, and great thing is you get a chance to save your friends from zombies and don’t worry they’ll save you when you get too intimate with the zombies. The AI of zombies is very well written. Until you see them they’ll all be just standing in a corner humming the zombie song ( ) and as soon as you throw the flash light on them, all of them start rushing towards you! The game is hell of a fun to kill them all on a spree as the blood splashes across the floor and best part is you get to burn them with the Molotov’s. Yeah go play this game in the midnight and is no less than racing a car without a helmet!. Thats our 8th game in the TOP 10 PC GAMES OF 2008.

7. The Lord of the Rings Online: Mines of Moria

In the list of top ten pc games of 2008, we have a game for the people who always die to wear the ring and die again to keep it on their finger! yes! I’m talking about Lord of the Rings. As you might have guessed by now, LOTR online is an online multiplayer game which brings millions of people into a single virtual world. The great thing to talk about this game compared to other online games are the fact of how beautifully the worlds have been designed and decorated. You’d never get bored of exploring the lands of Moria because you can never get tired of beauty that has been put in the making of these beautiful maps. LOTR online has a great story line which will keep you gripped throughout the game and creating and using the legendary equipments in the game is absolute fun. The objectives in the missions that you take up keep varying and thus keeps the game compelling. You get to unhide thousands of treasures which then are necessary to level up in the game. LOTRO is fun to play as you never know when an Ogre might attack you from behind and you can get your hands dirty in battle. LOTRO Mines of Moria stands at the 7th place in the ten top games of 2008 for PC.

6. Crysis Warhead

Ok! Do I have to tell ANYTHING about this game? People went mad and haywire when they saw the trailer of Crysis! I mean I literally waited for this game to come out even though I knew very well I din’t haven had enough RAM to watch its HD trailer! With the advent of Crytek engine and some other cool physics integration, this game has shattered and found a new way of making games. I never imagined of cutting trees and killing eagles with my gun! And forget destroyable infrastructure and multi layered and ultra realistic explosions!. Crysis Warhead gets much better than Crysis with the escaped aliens on a flee all around the world and our dear Hero Nomad has to stop them all before they wipe the humanity out of the face of earth. The Nano suit gets even stronger in this game and you get to be nearly god like!. The considerable improvement has been in the AI of the aliens that keep floating above you. This time when you fight off the aliens, you are sure to get a chill. Crysis Warhead’s gameplay is similar to the earlier game but has added maps and play modes in the multiplayer mode. Crysis Warhead stands at a top 6th position among the top ten pc games of the year 2008.

5. Fallout 3

Now who doesn’t like the games of future? On the 5th position among the top 10 pc games of 2008, we have Fallout 3 from Bethesda Softworks. Set in the year of 2227, where world has seen many nuclear warfare and people are dwelling in the tunnels or vaults as they call it in the game, your task is to find your dad who has come out of vault into the open land. The most attracting part of the game is the scenery and the backdrop that is painted in the game. Washington DC’s post apocalyptic view is just mindblowingly brilliant. You’d see wastelands everywhere and you’d also encounter enemies spread across the land. The best part of the game is the fact that the player can choose as to how the game proceeds. Player can choose any destination to go and any mission to play. The game proceeds according to the choices made by the player. Bethesda has introduced VATS combat system which makes the first person experience even more realistic and intense. The freedom of choice means you can complete a mission in more than one ways. All in all Fallout 3 packs all the graphics and the gameplay that is required to glue you to the seats for next week. Go grab the 5th top among the top ten pc games of 2008.

4. Dead Space

Now if you were once horrified by playing Doom 3, then better don’t even think of playing this game. This game goes to be way way better than any first person or third person horror game. The story almost remains the same but its the game play and the graphics which makes all the difference. You are Isaac, an engineer who are supposed to repair the ship with which the earth has lost contact, and as soon as you get onto that ship you discover that something is utterly wrong. Infection has turned all the crew into monsters and they all want you to become one of them. So they start attacking you. The age old way of shooting the head to bring down the zombie might not work in this game, as you’d have to cut down the legs of the undead to bring it down. This kind of varied tactics for various creatures makes the game even more interesting. This makes it stand 4th among the top 10 pc games of 2008. Better thing about the game is the fact that there is no HUD elements to be seen, the Suit wore by Isaac acts as the HUD. The glowing spine indicates health and on need you can make him shoot out a 3d holograph which gives you even more details. All in all the game is really gripping and gruesome. It ain’t meant to be played by the weak hearted people.

3. World of Goo

For all those who were expecting a first person shooter or glass shattering racing game at the top 3rd position among the top ten pc games of 2008, you’d be disappointed. At this position we have a game whose installation is only 70mb big! World of Goo! Designed by only 2 people (mostly) This game surpasses all the limits that were enforced on a 2D game till date. Whats the game all about? Its only about connecting the dots and reaching a point. Now thats where all the fun lies, the structure that you make with goo balls wobbles and swings in an astonishingly realistic ways. The developers have used a combination of physics engine and open source graphics engine to bring you this visual treat. The game sounds are damn funny and you can actually enjoy that whenever you get hold of any goo ball. By the looks of the screenshots you might say yuck! But try solving one level of World of Goo and you’d know how beautifully the game is made. The game is also available for WII. If you have a mouse on your computer, then you should definitely give it a try!. That was our top 2nd pc game of 2008.

2. World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King

Sometimes you just can’t get rid of the bests, when someone asks you what would be the best portable music player, you don’t have to think to answer “I-Pod”. Well, once again Blizzard Entertainment pushes their creation upon us and we rank it as the top 2nd best pc game of 2008. Wrath of Lich King expansion for WoW as the name suggests is about the Lich King being left free and unleashing his wrath. We always know that every other World of Warcraft is much better than the previous one, but how does this one stands aside from it previous ones? Lets see. Now when its the case of MMORPG games, especially in this case, there is nothing for the new players. So if at all you are entering the game now, you might say it all looks the same. Yes it will. The difference would be noticed by the players who have at least reached level 55. So if you are not at that level, probably this expansion might not do much to your gameplay. Added benefits here are the beautiful atmospheres and environments and the dungeons that are made available for everyone. Newest gameplay added is the Death Knight Class. Playing in the Death Knight Class is just brilliant. If you are a big time fan of World of Warcraft, then WOLK is not to be missed at any cost. Go give a try for the 2nd in the top 10 pc games of 2008.

1. GTA 4

I assume the end of the world or the end of the good is very near! Out of every million other game out there we choose Grand Theft Auto 4 as the top 1 among the top 10 games for pc 2008. Tell this to the fans of GTA and we’d be punched in the eye. Everyone who has played GTA knows how good every other GTA game is, ever since the GTA1, there has just been a constant innovation in every other release of the game. And as good as GTA San Andreas was, GTA 4 scores even better. Now when this game was released people slept, ate, slept, ate and slept in the queue to grab a copy of it. The number of sales on the first day of release has made a Guinness record. For the good part of the game, you get to play as Niko Bellic who comes to the Liberty City to meet his cousin and to find a person whom he has been searching since a long time and gets himself trapped in an un ending series of crimes. The graphics is breath taking compared to other GTA releases and you have more control of the character this time. The physics is brilliant in case of characters and vehicles too. Day night cycles are very beautifully made and the gun battles take a different height and can compete well enough with any third person shooter game out there. Although it requires a lot of resources on PC, but it still needs to be given a try. I’d rather suggest to go get GTA and play it on PS 3 as the porting from PS3 to PC isn’t that bug free. But if you do have a gaming rig, then Man!!! If you don’t have this game on your PC, You could’ve given that money to charity!

Well! That’s the end of our list of TOP 10 PC GAMES OF 2008.

We’ll be talking about top 10 movies of all time today. When it comes to movies, Different people have different opinions, and thus compiling a list of top 10 movies of all time requires crossing the language boundaries and should consider the mass appeal. The list which we have put up here is majorly the voice of the people who have watched the movies. Most important thing to remember here is; there might be a movie out there in some language which might be better than the no.1 in this list of top 10 movies of all time, and yet not be recognized just because it has not reached everyone. We will probably have to oversee that particular factor here. Here it is; Peoples’ choice top 10 movies of all time straight from the IMDB.

1. The Shawshank Redemption

Key Role: Tim Robbins & Morgan Freeman

Standing at No.1 in top 10 movies of all time is the Shawshank Redemption (1994). Rated 9.2 by almost 400,000 voters, it is a movie about a banker who gets jailed upon the murder of his wife, which he did not commit. He gets thrown into Shawshank for a life term. Here he comes across Red (Morgan Freeman) and develops a bond of friendship. Andy (Tim Robbins) goes through all kinds of torture within the prison, and yet importantly retains the hope that one day he’ll be out as a free man. The story continues and shows us how he plans along with Red, an escape which almost takes a quarter of his life. The movie highlights the persistence and patience that is required in a person. Does he escape? Movie is worth watching; you should find out yourself.

Awards: Nominated for 7 Oscars. Another 11 wins & 13 nominations

2. The Godfather

Key Role: Marlon Brando, Al Pacino & James Caan

Key Role: Al Pacino, Robart Duvall and Diane Keaton

Dominating at No.3 among the top 10 movies of all time is the Godfather II (1974). Well, don’t ask me why; probably people love mafias. That’s the reason why it has been rated 9.0 by almost 200,000 people. This is the continuation of The Godfather. In this part, the film rolls back in time and shows a flashback of Vito and his youth. It covers the tragedy and story of Vito in his adulthood. Then the movie shifts towards Micheal; Vito’s son, who tries to expand his family business to Hollywood, Las Vegas and Cuba. In total, the movie covers the deeds of both father and son, and also their consequences. It’s better if you watch the Godfather before you get this movie in your collection. But dare not to miss this.

Awards: Won 6 Oscars. Another 7 wins & 15 nominations

Key Role: Eli Wallach, Clint Eastwood

Good bad and Ugly (in English) stand as 4th among the list of top 10 movies of all time. It’s rated 8.9 by almost 122,000 people. Shot in 1966, the movie revolves around the three guys; Blondie (The Good) is a professional gunslinger who is out trying to earn a few dollars. Angel Eyes (The Bad) is a hit man and does the job whenever he is asked to, as long as he is paid to do so and Tuco (The Ugly) is a wanted in the city and is trying to hide. Blondie and Tuco share a partnership together making money off Tuco’s bounty. Tuco tries to hunt down Blondie when he unties the partnership. When Blondie and Tuco come across a horse carriage loaded with dead bodies, they soon learn from the only survivor (Bill Carson) that he and a few other men have buried a stash of gold in a cemetery. Unfortunately Carson dies and Tuco only finds out the name of the cemetery, while Blondie finds out the name on the grave. Now the two must keep each other alive in order to find the gold. Angel Eyes (who had been looking for Bill Carson) discovers that Tuco and Blondie meet with Carson and knows they know the location of the gold. All he needs is for the two to lead him to it. Now The Good, The Bad and The Ugly must all battle it out to get their hands on $200,000 worth of gold. What happens next? Go enquire in video store.

Award: has won 1 award (Golden Laurel)

5. Pulp Fiction

Key Role: John Travolta, Samuel L Jackson, Bruce Willis and Tim Roth

Pulp fiction still holds 5th position among the top 10 movies of all time. A hopping number of 342,000 people have voted to an average of 8.9. Marsellus Wallace is the boss for Vincent Vega and Jules Winnfield who has stolen their suitcase. Vincent is given charge of Wallace’s wife Mia, as the boss will be out of home for a while. Butch Coolidge is an aging boxer who is paid by Wallace to lose his next fight. Once these people are introduced on screen, it might seem to you how unrelated all of them are. But as the movie progresses, all the stories of these people are inter woven and given to you to digest. Samuel and Travolta get into a violent and yet strangely humorous conversation. Movie includes few most violent possible scenes, wherein Travolta accidentally fires a bullet into a boy sitting in backseat; and how these two guys clean up the car in their friend’s home. Instead of empathizing on the victim, we actually start laughing on their humor. This movie strangely captivates and glues us to the chair. Do not miss it.

Awards: Won Oscar. Another 43 wins & 40 nominations

6. The Dark Knight

Key Role: Christian Bale, Heath Ledger, Aaron Eckhart & Maggie Gyllenhaal

The Dark Knight is the continuation of the previous movie, The Batman Begins. Standing on the top 6th among the list of top 10 movies of all time, it has done a great job climbing up the top 250 movies ladder in the IMDB. Rated by almost 358,000 people, it has an average of 9.0 rating. In this sequel, the Joker holds the city in his grip with his crimes. Heath Ledger’s acting in this movie is applaud-able. The director has left no reason for you not to be scared of him. Every time he appears on the screen, there is a cold music in the background. Batman now has to face his wrath and make sure that Joker does not kill anymore civilians or innocents. The famous dialogue by the Joker “If you are good at something don’t do it for free” keeps you captivated all along. The special effects and action are breath taking! Above all is the performance by all the actors within the movie. In fact the rating zoomed past all the pillars which stood for long time on the top 250 list, just because of the quality of the acting done by these people. There is no reason why you should not watch this movie.

Awards: Won 2 Oscars. Another 59 wins & 58 nominations

7. Schindler’s List

Key Role: Liam Neeson, Ben Kingsley & Ralph Fiennes

Voted by more than 226,000 people, Schindler’s List (1993) stands at 7th position among the top 10 movies of all time. Do not let the black and white pictures fool you; as the movie once watched will leave its impact on you for a very long time. I still wonder how this movie was not placed still higher. The key role is of Oskar Schindler (Neeson) who is a greedy businessman, who wants to expand his business to the army and supply them with vessels and ammunition. While doing so, he unexpectedly starts turning humble towards the Jews getting killed in the concentration camp. Thus he starts making a list of people who then are called upon to work in his factory. The whole movie collages two side of images, on one side, innocents getting killed by Germans and on the other side, Schindler saving as many as he can. Movie is not worth letting go. Do watch it; if you don’t have a reason yet, we have one for you; it’s directed by Steven Spielberg.

Awards: Won 7 Oscars. Another 63 wins & 21 nominations

Key Role: Jack Nicholson

More than 174,000 people have voted this movie an average of 8.9 and it stands at 8th position among the top 10 movies of all time. Jack Nicholson performing as McMurphy has in his name many assault convictions. The most recent of his lands him into the jail. He is now convicted of rape of his own girlfriend, after he finds out that she lied about her being 18, but in fact was 15. Inside jail he starts acting crazy and starts convincing the guards that he has become mad and was in need of psychiatric care. He becomes successful in his efforts and gets transferred to a mental asylum. Once inside, begins the real movie. He is confronted with a hostile nurse who is behind him at his every move, and his insane point of views actually starts making progress in many of the patients. And the story continues.

Awards: Won 5 Oscars. Another 28 wins & 11 nominations

Key Role: All 12 of them

Voted by 88,000 people almost an average rank of 8.9 this movie stands as 9th among the top 10 movies of all time. The title of the movie might suggest to you that the movie might be about a team of 12 angry soldiers barging through enemy barriers. Its not! Instead “12 Angry Men” is based on a jury’s deliberations in a capital murder case. A 12 year old Latin boy is accused of murdering his father with a knife, and is on the verge of being announced a death sentence, and the jury of 12 members is asked to deliberate on the issue. The case appears to be open-and-shut: The defendant has a weak alibi; a knife he claimed to have lost is found at the murder scene; and several witnesses either heard screaming, saw the killing or the boy fleeing the scene. Eleven of the jurors immediately vote guilty; only one casts a not guilty vote. At first Mr. Davis’ bases his vote more so for the sake of discussion after all, the jurors must believe beyond a reasonable doubt that the defendant is guilty. As the deliberations unfold, the story quickly becomes a study of the jurors’ complex personalities (which range from wise, bright and empathetic to arrogant, prejudiced and merciless), preconceptions, backgrounds and interactions. That provides the backdrop to Mr. Davis’ attempts in convincing the other jurors that a “not guilty” verdict might be appropriate.

Awards: Nominated for 3 Oscars. Another 13 wins & 6 nominations

Key Role: Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford

This movie has been rated an average of 8.8 by more than 235,000 people. The story of Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Princess Leia and the others didn’t end with the destruction of the Death Star – it continues in THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK. Imperial forces have since driven the Rebels to hide on the ice world Hoth. But even on such an icy, backwater world, they cannot escape the wicked Darth Vader’s eye for long, and he devastates the Rebel base in an assault with the horrible AT-AT walkers. Luke flees to Dagobah to begin Jedi Knight training with Yoda, while Han Solo, Chewbacca, Princess Leia and C-3PO run the blockade of Imperial Star Destroyers in the Millenium Falcon. The Imperials pursue them across the galaxy and eventually catch up with them at Bespin. Now Darth Vader plans to use them as bait to lure Luke Skywalker to him, and turns Han Solo over to Boba Fett as a prize to be delivered to crime lord Jabba the Hutt. Luke learns a terrible family secret after losing a swordfight with Vader. Will he – and the others – escape the Empire’s clutches? You should watch and find out!

Here comes top 10 most expensive cocktails.

Transmission: 2-speed automatic

MTT Turbine Superbike, also known as Y2K Turbine Superbike, is the world’s second wheel driven motorcycle powered by a turbine engine, created by Ted McIntyre of Marine Turbine Technologies Inc. Powered by a Rolls Royce Allison 250 series turboshaft engine, producing 238kW (320hp), this motorcycle has a recorded top speed of 227 mph (365 km/h), with a price tag of US$150,000. It is recognized by Guinness World Records as the “Most powerful production motorcycle” and the “Most expensive production motorcycle”. Unlike other contemporary motorcycles (such as the Hayabusa), 2001 and later models of MTT Turbine SUPERBIKE do not have the 300 km/h speed limit self-imposed by Japanese manufacturers. MTT has achieved the 3rd rank among the top 10 fastest production bikes.

4. Honda CBR1100XX Blackbird

Engine: 1137cc liquid-cooled inline four-cylinder
Top Speed: 190 miles per hour (310km/h)
Power: 114 kW (153 hp) @ 10,000 rpm
Transmission: Close-ratio 6-speed

Honda CBR1100XX Blackbird was the world’s fastest production motorcycle, after ripping the title away from the legendary Kawasaki ZX-11. Production of the Blackbird began in 1996 and halted in late 2007. The Blackbird was last imported to North America in 2003. The Blackbird was a founding bike in the hyper sport touring niche market. The Kawasaki ZX11 or Honda ST1100 may have been the first. This market has since expanded to include the Suzuki Hayabusa, Kawasaki ZZR1200, Yamaha FJR1300, Kawasaki ZX14 and the redesigned Kawasaki Concours. In the US the CBR1100XX never sold as well as the Suzuki Hayabusa, though its owners all appreciate the smooth elegant lines of the bike and its dual counter balancer shafts which give the Blackbird its exceptional smoothness. Blackbird still keeps flying among the top 10 fastest production bikes.

5. Yamaha YZF R1

Engine: Forward Inclined Parallel 4-cylinder, 20 valves, DOHC, liquid-cooled
Top Speed: 186miles per hour (297 km/h)
Power: 128.2 horsepower (95.6 kW) at 10000 rpm
Transmission: Constant mesh 6-speed

Yamaha launched the YZF-R1 after redesigning the Genesis engine to offset the crankshaft, gearbox input and output shafts and this “compacting” of the engine yielded a huge dividend in that the total engine length was now very short. The Yamaha YZF-R1 motorcycle, introduced in 1998, was the first significant motorcycle in the true liter class (1,000 cc) “handling arms race” between the Japanese Big Four motorcycle manufacturers (Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Yamaha). When introduced, it took the class closer to a true racing motorcycle, and increased the handling capabilities. May be some more improvements it might push it further to the top among the top 10 fastest production bikes in the world.

6. MV Agusta F4 1000 R

Engine: liquid cooled, inline, 4 cylinder, DOHC, 16 radial valves
Top Speed: 185 mph (299 km/h)
Power: 174 horsepower (128 kW)
Transmission: multi-disc wet clutch, 6 speed cassette gearbox

The F4 1000 R was released in 2006 and came with a 174 horsepower (128 kW) engine. The F4 1000 R also has upgraded Brembo Monobloc radial brakes, forged black Brembo wheels, a carbon-nitride coated Marzocchi upside down fork and an upgraded Sachs rear shock absorber (compression & rebound damping adjustable in high & low speed range). The F4 1000 R engine does not utilize the TSS system. A 1+1 (Biposto) version is available that adds a pillion for a passenger. In August of 2006 an F4 1000 R was used to set a record for the fastest production class 1000 cc motorcycle of 185 mph (299 km/h) at Bonneville Salt Flats.

7. Kawasaki Ninja ZX-11/ZZ-R1100

Engine: 1052 cc 4-stroke, 4-cylinder, DOHC, liquid-cooled
Top Speed: 176 miles per hour (283km/h)
Power: 108 kW (147 PS) @ 10,500 rpm
Transmission: 6 speed

Occupying 7th place among the top 10 fastest bikes is the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-11/ZZ-R1100 was produced from 1990-2001. It was marketed as the ZX-11 Ninja in North America and the ZZ-R1100 in the rest of the world. This bike held the crown of The World’s Fastest Production Bike for close to a decade with a record top speed of 283 km/h (176 mph). When the bike was introduced in 1990, the nearest production bike top speed was 16 km/h (10 mph) slower and it belonged to the ZX-10, the bike that Kawasaki was replacing with the ZX-11.

8. Aprilia RSV 1000R Mille

Engine: 998 cc 60 degree V-twin engine
Top Speed: 175 miles per hour (281 km/h)
Power: 105.24 kW (143.09 PS; 141.13 hp) @ 10000 rpm
Transmission: 6 speed, chain drive

The RSV Mille and limited-edition RSV Mille Factory are high performance V-twin powered motorcycles made by Aprilia with a 141 HP 998 cc engine built by the Austrian company Rotax. For 2006 the RSV Mille Factory won the Maxisport category for Masterbike 2006 and overall Masterbike of the year. The Aprilia RSV Mille is a super bike motorcycle manufactured by Aprilia from 1998 to 2003. It was offered in three versions, RSV Mille, RSV Mille R, and RSV Mille SP. And all of this kicks it to the 8th position among top 10 fastest production bikes.

9. BMW K 1200 S

Engine: 16 valves, 4 cylinders, DOHC, horizontal in-line, liquid cooled
Top Speed: 174 miles per hour (278 km/h)
Power: 164.94 horsepower (120.4 kW) @ 10250 RPM
Transmission: 6 speed manual

With a very tough competition to Aprilia we have BMW with its K 1200 S. With enough raw power to shock even the most seasoned adrenaline junky, the K 1200 S hurls you from a dead stop to sixty mph in just 2.8 seconds. On 25 September 2004, BMW globally launched a radically redesigned K Series motorcycle, the K 1200 S, containing an all new in-line four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine featuring 123 kW (165 hp). After the launch of K 1200 S, BMW unveiled the K 1200 R naked roadster, and the K 1200 GT sport tourer. So that was our 9th of top 10 fastest production bikes.

10. Ducati 1098s

Engine: L-twin cylinder, 4 valves per cylinder Desmodromic, liquid cooled
Top Speed: 169 miles per hour (271 km/h)
Power: 119.3 kW (160.0 bhp) @ 9750 rpm
Transmission: 6 speed Chain

The Ducati 1098 is a 1099 cc L-twin sport bike manufactured by Ducati. It was announced on November 8, 2006 for the 2007 model year and replaces the 999. The 1098 makes a manufacturer claimed 160 horsepower, 90.4 ft-lb torque, and weighs 173kg. These figures give the 1098 the highest torque-to-weight ratio of any production sport bike ever made. When it comes to top speed it stands at a difference of 5 mph from BMW. Hopefully it’s quite a safe distance for BMW for few years to come as Ducati might stand at last in top 10 fastest bikes for a while.

We Have Moved Here

How many entrepreneurs have there been in the history of the world? Millions, certainly, probably even billions. These are the men and women who take capital — their own or somebody else’s — and use it to beget more capital. Some fail, some succeed, some excel.

With so many candidates to choose from, any list of the 10 greatest entrepreneurs of all time will necessarily be somewhat arbitrary. It will also be top-heavy with Americans, just as a list of great chefs would be disproportionately French or of great eccentrics dominated by the British.

Business is what America does. If that sounds chauvinistic, get over it.

Here, without further ado but with tongue occasionally in cheek, are history’s 10 greatest entrepreneurs.

1. King Croesus.

A pick by our veterans committee, Croesus, who ruled the Asia Minor kingdom of Lydia in the sixth century B.C., is owed a huge debt of gratitude for minting the world’s first coinage, thereby creating in a single stroke the lifeblood of every business: liquidity and cash flow. Moreover, his opulent lifestyle has given entrepreneurs throughout history something to shoot for. Is there a greater distinction for the commercially inclined than to be deemed “as rich as Croesus”?

2. Pope Sixtus IV.

Sixtus gets the nod for realizing that the “wages of sin” meant more than unpleasant repercussions. There was money to be made in damnation, and Sixtus mined it by opening up a new market — the dead — for the indulgences the church had been selling for years. Relatives of the deceased quickly filled the Vatican’s coffers with payments intended to lessen the time their loved ones spent in purgatory. In 1478 Sixtus “grew his market” by authorizing the Spanish Inquisition, which swelled purgatory’s ranks by 100,000 souls in 15 years. He also was the first pope to license brothels.

3. Benjamin Franklin.

In a real sense, Franklin was America’s first entrepreneur. Unlike other of the Founding Fathers — the hypermoral Washington, the prodigiously intellectual Jefferson — whose virtues and attainments are seen today as anachronisms, Franklin truly was a model of what many of us would become. Beneath the statesman’s mantle resided a popular author, a printer, an inventor (the lightning rod, bifocals) and a very savvy businessman who knew how to commercialize the fruits of his fertile mind.

4. P.T. Barnum

Americans have always loved a good scam and Phineas Taylor Barnum took the art to new heights. He played on our fascination with the bizarre and freakish with sideshow acts ranging from the midget Tom Thumb to Jumbo the giant elephant. In between was a host of more dubious curiosities. He created the Barnum and Bailey Circus as a showcase for all this wonderment, and dubbed it “the Greatest Show on Earth.” Along the way he invented modern advertising and became rich. For the record, he never said “There’s a sucker born every five minutes,” but he left behind plenty of other bon mots. Among them: “Every crowd has a silver lining.”

5. Thomas Edison.

What do you say about the man who gave the world the electric light, the phonograph, talking motion pictures and more than 1,300 other patented inventions? That he was the world’s greatest inventor, certainly. But he was also able to exploit the profit potential in his creations, an entrepreneurial bent that asserted itself when Edison was a teen-ager, printing a newspaper in the baggage car of a rolling train and then selling copies to passengers. His impact on the way people live was and is pervasive. As a combination of inventive genius and entrepreneurial flair, he stands alone.

6. Henry Ford

Ford also fundamentally changed human lifestyles by making available a vehicle, the Model T, that vastly extended people’s range of movement. The automobile would allow America’s masses to fulfill their Manifest Destiny to populate every corner of the continent. But his more profound impact was on industry. The moving assembly line he designed to build his cars was the signal breakthrough of the Industrial Age. Appropriately, Ford earned the seed capital for his enterprise by working as an engineer at the Edison Illuminating Company in Detroit.

7. Benjamin Siegel

Known as “Bugsy” to his friends, Siegel was a notorious mobster with a touch of the visionary. Legend has it that he single-handedly invented Las Vegas, and that’s a stretch. But he was the first to see what the town could become: a lush oasis of pleasure where gambling was just one of the attractions. He also proved adept at attracting other people’s money to build his iconic resort, The Flamingo. Trouble was, some of those other people belonged to an outfit called Murder Inc., and Siegel was gunned down in 1947 amid rumors he had stolen from his partners. But give the devil his due: Before there was the Bellagio, there was Bugsy.

8. Ray Kroc

Nothing says entrepreneur like persistence, and nothings says persistence like Ray Kroc, the kitchen wares salesman who in 1954, at age 52 and in poor health, had his imagination hijacked by a family-run restaurant in the desert outside Los Angeles. Once he had bought out the McDonald brothers, Kroc proceeded to take their concept of a limited menu, fast service and low prices and expand it nationally, in the process creating the fast-food industry and dramatically affecting America’s lifestyle and, sadly, collective health.

9. H. Ross Perot

Within every entrepreneur lurks a touch of the cowboy, and there’s no better example of the strain than Perot, the diminutive Texan who has become best known in recent years as a political gadfly. Before that, though, he was all business, using a $1,000 loan from his wife in 1962 to launch Electronic Data Systems. Perot’s winning idea was that large corporations and organizations needed data-processing help if they were to take full advantage of computer technology. When in the mid-’60s he won contracts with two new federal health-care programs — Medicare and Medicaid — EDS was off and running and Perot was on his way to being one of America’s richest citizens.

10. Jobs & Wozniak

Apple Computer’s two Steves weren’t the first Silicon Valley entrepreneurs to launch a billion-dollar business from a Palo Alto garage — Hewlett and Packard were there before them — but they were the first to democratize computing by creating a machine whose use was so wonderfully intuitive that even technophobes embraced it. Combine the elegance of Wozniak’s operating system design with Jobs’ marketing savvy (remember Apple’s “1984” ad?) and the result was a true phenomenon. Yes, the Apple was eclipsed by the PC, but only after Microsoft (behind the vision of two other notable entrepreneurs, Bill Gates and Paul Allen) developed Windows to ape its rival’s ease of use.
